The Treasury announced the issue of two hundred and seventy million Euro (€270,000,000) Malta Government Stock in any one or any combination of the following two stocks:
subject to an over-allotment option of Euro 130,000,000 in the event of over-subscription.
The price for each stock offered to retail investors shall be published through a Press Release by the Department of Information on Thursday, 3 rd October 2024.
Applications by any single and/or joint applicants which do not exceed Euro 499,900 per person (retail investors) open on Monday, the 7th of October 2024 at 8:30 hrs and close on Wednesday, the 9th of October 2024 at 14:30 hrs., or earlier at the discretion of the Accountant General.
The Farsons Group has reported encouraging financial results for the first half of the financial year. The Group’s diverse business portfolio and proactive management efforts were instrumental in delivering this performance, despite challenges in certain sectors.
Group turnover for the first six months rose by 7%, to €69.8 million, with profit before tax up 18% to €9.6 million. Louis A Farrugia, Chairman of the Group, attributed the growth to operational efficiencies and strategic investments. The Beverage and Food segments saw increases of 6.6% and 8.2% with improved profit margins of 15.8% and 10.8% driven by higher demand and cost control measures.
Earnings per share (EPS) rose by 17%, from €0.209 to €0.245, reflecting the Group’s strong performance and commitment to maximizing shareholder returns.

The Directors declared a net interim dividend of €0.0086 per share. The dividend is payable on Wednesday 2 October 2024 to all shareholders as at the close of trading on Monday 9 September 2024.
Simonds Farsons Cisk p.l.c
The Board of Directors of the Company also resolved to distribute, out of tax-exempt profits, an interim dividend of €2,160,000 equivalent to €0.06 per ordinary share. This dividend will be paid on Wednesday, 16th October 2024 to the ordinary shareholders who will be on the Register of Members as at the close of business on Wednesday, 2nd October 2024.
